I am going to decorate some cookies for my son's birthday cake. They are all farm animals. What is the best type of frosting. I don't want to use buttercream because I want it to have more detail then that. Would royal icing or color be better for that???

This is the cake I want to make.

I use RI for all my cookies - you can make then far in advance - when they are dry you can put them into a ziplock.

Good luck - cute cake!!!

I would suggest going with RI! thumbs_up.gif (You can check out Antonia74's RI recipe here on CC, it's great)
