Best Medium To Glue Satin Ribbon To Fondant?

I have a 3 tiered wedding cake for this weekend..The groom gave me real Navy Blue Satin ribbon to wrap around the base of each tier...What do I use to glue it on so it doesn't appear grease stained?

I forgot to mention the cake is ivory fondant...

Put some greeceproof paper behind the ribbon and then stick the ribbon to itself around the back where it overlaps.  Don't stick the ribbon to the cake.
