I have a baby tv cake to make. Usually I use normal icing for any figures I do but I know it will hold better with a harder option. Does anyone have any tips and recipes or brand to use.  I'm in the uk so any brands easily available to me here for modeling

Thanks

It may be too late, but have you looked at recipes for gumpaste? it's technically edible, but most ppl don't eat it. And it dries very hard in a day or 2. There are just add water mixes (CK brand, I believe). And fondant can be made with normal household ingredients, of course. Finally, there's "cold porcelain". It's not edible, but dries hard & looks like fondant. There are recipes on this site. Hope it went well or will go well!!
