Hi everyone.

I am interested in making a Jeep Trailhawk cake replica of my Father's newest "child" for father's day.

I have my brother taking photos of the car to make a side template, and so that I can try and get the fondant coloured properly.

But, I do not quite understand how I can make the jeep look like it is above the "ground". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use pieces of Styrofoam or stacked cake boards to lift the cake. Make sure your board where your cake sits on is sturdy, then cut the styro smaller than the actual cake. Cover that base in black so that it's not seen or easily seen depending on how high you go up.
