So, I made a batch of Buttercream this morning and I sifted 2lbs of powdersugar with the meruinge powder. Well, my brain was just not all there this morning I guess because i just started putting the sugar in slowly using a measuring cup (no specific measure) then I realized that the batch only called for 1lb of sugar not 2lbs. By this time I had no idea how much sugar I had put it so I stopped and added a little water and it turned out to be the absolute BEST Buttercream I have ever made!!!!! Now i just don' t know how I did it so I don't know how to do it again! Darn it! Its always when you aren't paying attention!

Can you measure the sugar you have left to give you an idea of how much you used. Thay may help.

Except you put the meruing powder with it so you dont know how much of that is in there, right?
