This is what I was busy doing last week....my first love, painting. It was for a twins' bedroom...they are coming in a couple of weeks....a boy and a girl. The theme was moon and stars and the "hangings" and frames are actually painted flat on the walls....the one with the Greek word means "Goodnight".

So amazingly sweet for a baby's (or BABIES) room! The moon and then the "Starlight, Star Bright " are my favorite parts. I bet the parents-to-be were thrilled! Did you use any stencils or is it all freehand?
I love painting murals . . . we were going to hire someone to do one when our first son was born, then heard the price (went into total sticker shock! A couple thousand dollars!) so that's when I decided I could do it myself. I've also done their playroom. We're moving in a few months and I'm already salivating over the "blank canvases" that I'll have in the new house!

Hi Michelle....basically, I cahrge $100 per square foot for oil paintings and about $50 psf for murals.(Give or take, depending on the detail, of course.) So, I estimate that, for example, if the moon painting is 2' x 3'....total 6 sq feet x $50 = $300. I do that for all the elements and then add them all up.

Hi there...I mostly do it freehand....I do make my own stencils, sometimes...cause it's easier to draw on a table, than on a wall or ceiling..BTW my favorite part was a cherub on the ceiling peering over a cloud, but I forgot my camera that day and only had my cell phone. When I learn how to upload it, I will.
