I've noticed lately that threads are becoming heated. This site is supposed to be for help, support, and general information. I really don't think those who started it appreciate the topics becoming battle grounds.
Sometimes what is written is not taken as it was meant because the tone or emotion (or lack of emotion) cannot be put into the responses. Maybe we are all getting tired, it's late, a bad day, bad weather, kids, spouses, whatever. Whatever the cause, I would like for everyone, myself included to be careful as to how we interpret what we read.
In some threads it appears as though someone has felt slighted and because the responses can separate further responses/reactions, the reason for the hurt feelings is not evident. As always, we should all think before we speak and/or write. We shouldn't send something until we have checked it for content or the possibility that we misunderstood something.
This is a great web site, so please let it stay that way.
Thanks for your consideration.
Michele
CC strives to be a warm, loving, and inviting environment. When posts turn nasty for whatever reason it makes the community less inviting, and our jobs as moderators much more harder. Then when we do have to lock threads, or the Admins have to ban users, it makes us moderators look mean, when all we are trying to do is our job. Our job is to make sure this forum stays warm, loving and inviting.
Everyone has the ability to state their opinion in a reasonable, adult-like manner. We've seen it happen on posts where people don't agree but the post has still remained civil.
