Ribbon Roses-Please Help!

HI

Just wondering if someone could help me? I for the life of me cannot make a ribbon rose! I have practised and practised! Can someone please help me???? or am I a lost cause?

I made some a couple of weeks ago (in my photos) and toward the end, I found if I rolled the fondant a little thinner than usual, it worked better.
They were not as easy to make as they look - to me anyway!

I have not made these but a couple of times. Also what look do you want? The single peice of fondant or a look with a piece folded over then wrapped? I have maily made the ones that are a thin piece of fondant cut in long strip, folded in half then folled up ro a rose. They give a very nice look. I think like evrything else, it takes practice to get them the shape you like.
