I making my first attempt at fondant figures for a cake on next Friday. My plan is to make a teddy bear wearing either a pit crew outfit or just a shirt. The bear will be about 3" high. How long will it take for him to dry?? I read somewhere that he has to be dry to put on the cake. I also am pondering putting flags in his hands....should I do this immediately or let him set up a bit first?
TIA

I would give him 3-4 days at least, a week would be better. It's better for him to be dry because he'll be more stable and a bit lighter.

For the jungle animals I made (in my photo), I made them one week in advance.
