Harold's Deli Monster Choclate Layer Cake
Baking By robertsicc Updated 30 Apr 2015 , 4:14pm by craftybanana2
Hi,
I am a bit of a novice when it comes to baking, but that never stops me from a challenge, especially when it comes to something that I think my daughters will have fun doing.
I have been wanting to try this project for a long time with them and they are at an age now where it might be possible to succeed. The big problem is that I have no idea where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction for recipes, tutorials, or suggest a great cookbook that will help me make the cake in the picture below? I am never oposed to buying a cookbook either.
I think this would be a lot of fun to make with my young daughters and even more fun to eat with them and a dozen of their friends. lol
All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
No picture is there, but if you just need a great chocolate cake recipe, try the one on the back of the Hershey's cocoa, just decrease the leaving to 1tsp each instead of 1.5tsp. It's a great recipe and easy to make. As far as doing layers, I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction since I'm a bit daft when it comes to layering, ha ha. I also heard that the icing on the back of the same box is good too, never tried it though.
Do you mean something like this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/a5/cb/eb/a5cbebb8b9217f3f973c930d5f38ff8e.jpg
