
hi friends! I am playing around with making edible lace using gelatin - 2 teaspoons gelatin and 3 teaspoons water with a bit of white food coloring... This comes out amazing at first - spread into my lace Matt and peels out beautifully within just 10 minutes or so - problem is as it dries it shrinks and warps excetera taking away all the beauty and becoming hard and brittle - has anyone played around with this technique? I have not yet added glycerin or other substance to the mix but figured I would ask the question out there first? attached is a photo of the lace when first created - about 2 hours later it is drastically different looking... Thoughts?
