I am cleaning out 40 years worth of cake decorating stuff. I am a "hoarder" of cake stuff, always thinking I can use it again. Many of my plastic columns, plates and decorative things have turned yellow. What have some of you done with these yellowed pieces?

paint them with egg white and sprinkle with sugar for a pretty glistening ethereal effect -- covers yellow well

you can add some glitter to if you want or use colored sugar -- but regular granulated sugar surprisingly gives a very pretty look
