Ok, I haven't really posted on here before but I think I should take a chance. I wasn't sure which section to post in, but this didn't seem to fit in with the guidelines of the business section. I live on Long Island and have just lost my job of almost 8 years. I am very scared being without a job but I figure it is a good time to try doing something that I enjoy. I have been making cakes for friends and family after taking the Wilton courses and loving it. What I wanted to know was if anyone in the area has a business and is looking for help. I don't have any professional experience right now, but I have some of my pictures posted and am a very fast learner. If anyone here needs help or knows of anyone that does, it would mean so much to me if you could send me an email. Thank you all so much!

I know of only 3 that say "long Island" msbask, jg556a and you. I see this has slipped a long way down the list, so I wanted to boost it up to see if you can get any responses.

What you should do is print copies of your pictures and put them in mini albums, print up a resume of some sort to go with the albums and drop them off at bakeries that do specialty cakes. Perhaps you can gain employment that way.

Thank you, I think I might try that. I haven't seen any specialty places but it can't hurt to check out whatever bakeries are in my neighborhood. Thank you for the help!!
