This bride want cupcakes with brown and pink theme. Small round cake come on top tier. She left me a choice how to decorate them, only requirement is pink and brown colours. She got very different taste, on the funky side, with element of humour. I am not quite sure what would suit perfectly. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

How about pink with brown polka dots, or ovals with the centers cut out and smaller ovals inside. Or retro style daisys - sort of asterisk looking * in different sizes? I think chunky scrolls would work too.

There are a few great pink and brown cakes here too!

How about icing the tops brown and piping the Last Name initial in pink on top of each cupcake?

I made a fun hot pink with brown and white zebra cake for a client - it was definitely on the funky side. I also recently did some bachelorette lingerie cookies with a pink/brown/cream color scheme. Check out my pics for better visuals!

That color combination is so trendy right now I think anything will be perfect!

Stefi,

Have you had a look at the Planet cake website? They have great, very modern and funky ideas for all sorts of cakes.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, if she's left it up to you to decide then she can't be too concerned about how it's going to turn out. I have a couple of different pink and brown cakes in my photos that you're welcome to use for ideas.

I agree that there are a lot of great pink and brown designs in the galleries. You can also google pink and brown cakes and come up with ideas.

I have this one in my pic's and i based it on being the top of a cupcake display. you could change the colors to maybe cream fondant or BC with chocolate brown and pink stripes with pink and brown fondant hearts on wire coming out the top..

http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&meta=allby&uname=sweet_as_tisse&cat=0&pos=12

for the cupcakes you could use the brown muffin cases and ice the tops in pink then make small fondant hearts and place them on the top..

cheers
