I am going to try my hand at carving a cake for the first time. Planning to make a 3d teddy cake for my sons birthday.

I decided to go with dark chocolate mud cake Coz of the texture and ofcourse taste. Can anyone please recommend a very good chocolate mud recipe that works well for carving?

Also do you have to freeze the mud cake for carving or can you just do It without?

All help appreciated.

Look up the planet cake mud cake recipe it's the best easy to make although it does just require an hour of your time and a few big dirty dishes to wash up!

For carving don't freeze it (too hard) BUT DO refrigerate it and then carve
