Wondering what kind of projector everyone uses and where can you find one? I also would like to purchase an air brush. Thanks

Hi Darlene, I just bought an airbrush and compressor from Hobby Lobby with this weeks 40% off coupon, got the double action brush and the mid-priced compressor. I don't know how to use it, need to get instruction books and practice. They are available online from many supply sites. I don't have an expensive projector, just a hobby type, got to figure out a contraption to hold it upside down as it is designed to sit on a table or stool. I have seen many posts in here where members use a airbrush, hope you get some positive feedback for your question. thumbs_up.gif

I have the Kopykake airmaster compressor and love it. Also the single action kk gun. Probalby next time would get a double action. But I still love the one I have.

I also have the KK projector I think it's the 300. (that's the least expensive one) I reall love this. If I could only have on or the other I would pick my projector hands down.

The other models do a few extra things and have a brighter bulb but so far I haven't missed them.

i will be doing a demo at the Sugarwonders cake show on using a projector. I have the Kopykake 300XK and the K 1000, heres the difference. the 300 has one lightbulb, so you may have to darken the room alittle, it is quiet and gets warm, the K1000 has 2 lightbulbs so you may not have to darken your room, i still do. its pretty noisy as it has a fan and gets hot. both do a great job and can make all the difference when used to help with writing and drawings on your cake. Ebay has some great offers, you just need to be patient and add them to your favourite searches so they send you updates when new ones are added. I paid a little over $100 for each of them. For the airbrush i also have the kopykake airmaster. if you only want to buy one once i highly recommend it, single action, easy to use, clean and store.

Tiggy, I got the Fusion air compressor, it comes in a green box, regular price was 129.99...with discount it was 77.99. The airbrush is a Paasche, double action internal mix. Regular price was 89.99...discount 53.99. It has the color cup, as well as the glass bottle, airhose, couplings ect.
