I have an order for a baby shower. The theme is frogs icon_confused.gif I have been debating over a few ideas. Maybe some lilly pads with fondant frogs on them with the middle one have a baby? Any ideas from anyone! Or has anyone done one with this theme? Your ideas sure would help. Thanks a bunch! Love ya!

I was laughing when I read this. I thought my brothers first wife was a little cuckoo for wanting a frog baby room..... I wish I had a picture of it but hey the baby is now 22 years old.... what her mom did for a bday cake for his 1st bday was something like this
http://www.pastrywiz.com/cakes/halloweenfrog.htm only in baby colors and the frog was wearing a nightcap in baby colors, and instead of a spell book of which you see in this picture it was a "baby's first years" book made out of a large brownie, and the cauldron was something like a baby walker or something like that.... also the frog sits on top of a round cake (shaped like a lily pad) holding baby toys...maybe you could put baby things in his hands?

That frog is just toooo cute. That is a great idea! Was the frog completely done in fondant? The nightcap idea is wonderful! Thanks so much!

I think in that picture it was fondant. But the cake that I was talking about was done in rolled buttercream I think she said...that was a long time ago and I cant remember.....

I'm having problems posting my picture, but my second cake that I ever baked was this theme. It's not anywhere as good as the one already posted, but you can view pics on my sister's website if you'd like!

The frog prince is a wonderful idea. It is going to be a girl, Zoey. Kinda fits together huh! I havent seen the decor for the party but the nursery is frogs.

In the 2005 Wilton Yearbook there is a frog done with the Animal Crackers pan. They used something like a fruit roll up/fruit by the foot for the tongue. It's really cute icon_smile.gif (I have a frog fanatic friend that I'm planning on doing it for in November!) You could do this on top of a pastel larger cake to serve more people since I think this only makes 12-16 servings.
