Covering A Cake In Fondant ... Help

hi all,

I am making a cake for my uncles 50th. Its a football trophy cake. Its Monday today, just wondering if i can cover it tonight for Saturday? will it stay fresh enough?

I wouldn't, I cover thursday or friday for a saturday cake.

No.  I'd cover it on Friday.  It would still be in the freezer on Monday.

If you baked the cake already, wrap it tightly in some layers of cling film and freeze it until Thursday night, thaw and decorate Friday - not earlier.
