Could someone help me with this please? I have searched and searched and there are so many and I dont know which to pick. Thank you!
Have a look at cookie glaze recipe's instead of RI, they don't dry anywhere near as hard but still set really well and may be what you are after. Experiment with it on a practice batch of biscuits to see if it is what you want BEFORE you actually need to use it though in case they don't suit what you are after.
Hello! I have found this recipe to be one of the best when making sugar cookies, usually I keep it chilled, more when I am doing cut out cookies. This is the recipe:
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
For the royal icing, I use a recipe with more meringue powder:
2 pound confectioner’s sugar
10 tbs meringue powder
3/4 of water
1 pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Hope it works for you! Good Luck!!!
Ok great! Thank you both so much! I currently use the glaze kind and I love it, but I wanted to do more detail work which requires the royal icing. Can't wait to try it, thank you!
