Hi! I am new to cookie decorating and have just made my second attempt at cookie baskets. I was wondering what sorts of prices are reasonable for the ones I have made. One is a practice Valentines and the other was supposed to be a sort of "shabby chic" birthday basket. I also put in a few pictures of the individual cookies that made up the second basket.
I would really love any feedback that you can give me. I Love Love Love this site!!! The beautiful work you all have done has really inspired me! Thank you!

Wow brea1026! Those are beautiful!!

As for pricing, I don't know how much help this will be but I was looking at cookie "pops" at a local store recently, very nicely decorated and they were selling for $4-$6 a piece.

If you follow that as a guide it looks like the "Shabby Chic" basket has a dozen cookies so that would be $48-$72 plus the basket, etc.... And the Valentine's basket has 9? cookies (I tried to count, but it's hard to see). So, that would be $36-$54 plus the tin, etc.

Do you have a shop? How are you marketing these and to whom? That may help you determine your pricing.

Those are beautiful!! Are you sure you're new at this, the cookies say you're an old pro. icon_lol.gif

I just started doing cookies too. I agree with the other poster about the price, somewhere between $4-$7 per cookie plus the packaging suppplies. If you absolutely can't get that in your area I certainly would not go lower than $2 per cookie. Those are very nicely done, please don't short yourself. Hope they sell like hotcakes! icon_biggrin.gif

Your cookies are beautiful! I wouldn't sell the shabby chic basket for less that $50 (bare minimum!) and the valentine for less that $30 (again bare minimum!)
