Wilton Cake Batter Chart Has Been Changed

I just noticed that Wilton changed the chart for cake batter amount.

for example,, When I make WASC for 12x18, I always use 14 cups of batter but new chart says 16cups of batter. also 4cups of batter for 8" round pan now instead of 3cups.

I don't know why they have changed it.

Anybody noticed that?

AI have! I was wondering the same thing as well. Now I'm not sure which one to go by.

I baked 8"x2" cake today and used 4 cups of batter.

The result was nice tall cake. it rise over 2" so when you cut the dome, my cake is exactly 2" tall.

I like it. But it takes time to bake longer than usual and cost more because use more batter.

I prefer the new chart as well! My cakes are a much better height due to the slight increase in batter.

AI noticed too. I don't know of my oven temp is off, but the bake times are way off. I have to bake mine at least 10 minutes longer than suggested
