Can I get anyone's opinion on Sam's buttercream icing?

I bought a container and was good, but very stiff. I still make homemade buttercream, but in urgent cases, I may need to use Sam's. Should I just add cream or water to thin it out?

sure just add water no worries -- you can add flavor too if you want almond or vanilla or whatever

Yep.  We used that in the bakery.  We alwys added water to it (about 1/3 cup in a 12 quart mixer) and let it spin while we got the decorating room set up for the day.

Thank you leah_s.

I think that will really make a difference with the consistency. I appreciate the advice.
