Please help,
I have a customer who wants a molten chocolate cake but wantsit designed as a chemistry themed cake. I want to try this with a 7 inch round cake but I am scared to cover the cake in frosting and then in fondant.I am nervous the cake will be to delicate and possibly too sweet. Has anyone ever done this? What should I expect? Any tips????
ATwo problems I can see-
1. I don't think the thin walls of a molten cake will hold the weight of fondant etc
2. It's meant to be served warm so fondant and decorations will be destroyed.
Why not suggest dummy cake with chemistry theme and little molten cakes to eat?
