my husband shaved his mustache off this morning. I have never seen him without one. I had just gotten up and I wasn't ready for it. I screamed, not in horror, just suprised. As the morning went on, every time I saw him I giggled. It just happened. He looks really different. I know I will get used to it. Should I just ignore the fact that I reacted so badly, should I aplogize? I don't want him to feel bad about himself. He just looks so different.

Apologize in a fun and loving way, after a while you won't even notice it. What your man DOES want to hear is how attractive you find him, with or without, he just caught you by surprise thats all. Some extra attention and fawning might do the trick.

It was just so weird to see him without it. I have never seen him with an upper lip or the sides of his mouth he had a fewmanchew (I am so sure I spelled that wrong) you know the kind that goes all around the mouth, I really liked it. I am a little worried that I will not get used to it.

Every once in a while, my DH shaves off his goatee' and mustache... I hate it when he does. I stare a lot when he's got a naked face, but I just tell him that it's not BAD, it's just that I'm not used to it. He understands. (and he always grows it back...)

I know what you mean! We are scuba divers and to get a good seal on a diving mask, every summer my husband shaves off just the mustache part, not the goatee underneath. It's always so surprising, and sort of weird, too. I think you should just make a point to tell him he looks cute without it so his feelings aren't hurt (unless he looks stupid without it, then just say nothing and he'll get the hint!).

I would just jokingly apologize, and explain to him that it will take you afew days to get used to it!

I feel for you...my husband has a mustache and goatee! Every once in a while he shaves the goatee part (for a respirator fit test at work). I really have a hard time getting used to the look, and can't wait for that sexy look to grow back! He has joked about shaving it all off! But I told him he would have to do that during deer season, and not come home until it grew back!

Ha! Ha! This is great! My husband is very sporadic with his facial hair... sometimes he has just stubble... then he has a goatee... then he as a beard... then he has a soul patch... he just get's tired of what he has I guess. So, I'm always in a constant state of shock. JK icon_razz.gif He has never done just a mustache though... it doesn't really suite him... he's a little young (20) icon_wink.gif .

But, I have never ever seen my dad without at least a mustache. I have tried to convince him many times to shave it off because I am curious... but he just won't do it. I guess when my parents were first married he had shaved it off but it drove my mother crazy because his lips kind of curve up and she felt like he was always smirking at her. icon_biggrin.gif So, I guess that's why he won't... he doesn't want people to get the wrong idea. icon_lol.gif

But, whether my husband changes his "style" or not, and whether I like it or not icon_wink.gif, I always make sure to tell him how handsome he is... because I love him for who he is, not how he wears his facial hair. icon_biggrin.gif And, besides no matter what he looks like he always looks attractive to me! icon_smile.gif But, if you are not used to your husband without a mustache you may get an eerie feeling in the middle of the night waking up beside a different man... icon_wink.gif

He got even, I tried liquid eye liner the other day and I looked at him and he laughed at me. I got it figured out and I am getting used to him without, he is a Hottie either way. I also e-mailed a picture of him to his famliy, his mom called and told him that is what my son looks like. I miss that look. It made him smile. I am sure that he will go back to the hairy face again. However now he is talking about shaving his head. icon_cry.gif I told him he had to grow out the facial hair if he wants to save his head icon_razz.gif

I think the shaved head and mustache look is sexy.
Now my husband did something goofy....he has a blading head...and he has a little peninsula of hair, well, he decied to shave it and leave the rest... icon_lol.gif I would look at him and just smile and shake my head...he decided that it was not a good idea...he said he will shave it bald tonight.

I have never seen my husband with hair on his head he has always kept it shaved but he is starting to bald a bit on top and if i make fun of him he simply says he wish it would hurry up and go bald all the way so he doesnt have to shave it everyday its funny I never was really attracted to the bald gotee type look but after being married to him for so long I find that so attractive on men wierd.

My husband will be shaving his beard and mustache in March for a skit at the Shrine temple and I am dreading it! We have been married almost 3 years and I have never seen his bare face! I am afraid that I will have this same reaction and he'll be mad at me!!

After he got a haircut which he really needed. The bare face made him an even bigger HOTTIE! I wouldn't worry to much. And hey there is no longer food in his facial hair! icon_razz.gif

My husband shaved off his beard once and I screamed at him and said, "go put that back on!!!!!" icon_mad.gif It took a few weeks to get it back to "normal" and he hasn't tried THAT trick again!!!!
