Pipe Over Pearl Dust

I have a stupid question 8O

I would like to use pearl dust on fondant but can I pipe with buttercream over pearl dust covered fondant cake?  I am thinking about swags all around the cake.Does it stick to the pearl dust or slide?

ADust fondant with pearl first. Then pipe on fondant :) will work just fine
