I was sitting here thinking ( I do my best thinking early in the morning,LOL) anyways. I am a Montessori teacher and our school does fundraisers once or twice a year. This time around in March we are doing a wine and cheese. The parents all bring a covered dish and stuff like that. I was thinking to get my name out there I could do a few trays of cookies and see what happens. So my question is what kind of cookie would you do? and decorations as well?

One of my favorite this time of year (esp. with Valentines Day coming) are the cut out heart cookies filled with a jam of choice. The top cookie has a smaller heart cut out of the center exposing the filling. Then lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar using a lace dollie (sp?). You could also do some of the NFSC possibly monogramed with the schools initials to show off your piping skills. Depending on the school, you could even see about raffling off a tray of your cookies (or even a cake) with the proceeds going to the school. HTH!

I'm constantly donating cookie bouquets and cakes for school fundraisers. I agree it's a great way to get your name out there. Something with a valentines theme would be wonderful and as hope22023 said, it's a great opportunity to show off your piping skills. You could incorporate a little school theme in there as well i.e. cookies decorated like valentines, chalk board cookie with the schools name on it, boy and girl cookies with hearts, oh so many things 
Will these be for a raffle? In the past I've done cookie bouquets which seem to be very popular at these school events. A nice cookie tray would be awesome too! HTH
I have some school cookies posted, feel free to use some of my designs. Since it's not a raffle a nice assortment of cookies on a tray would be great!

If you are going to make a tray maybe an assortment would be nice that way they can see your versatility. So don't forget the chocolate because many people are addicted!! I have a great mocha toffe truffle cookie recipe if you are interested. Easy to make and always a hit. Just PM me if you are interested

I make small chocolate ganache cookies drizzled with multi colors of chocolate that I sometimes scattered around a tray. Usually for a party or special event.
