the bridal show in my town is this sunday and i get to have my cakes in it for the first time. so i wanted something very special so i looked up colett's cakes and found some pics i liked and did one. please check it out in my photos and let me know what you think it is the one marked favorit. thanks

You did an excellent job reproducing Colettes cake, I'm sure she would be pleased with it.

I have to be honest and say that I prefer your 'Asian' cake. It's visually more striking and for a show this might be better to draw people in. Your Colette cake is very well done - but because of the colour scheme and sprawling nature of it it doesn't grab the eye as much as the Asian one in terms of catching the attention of passing people.

I also tied one of her cakes. But of course I had to twist it. My Dh loves black licosice(sp) so I did one like hers. But not as interesting as the one you did. Yours was GREAT thumbs_up.gif Good Luck on the next one. thumbs_up.gif

I think you did a great job, the cake looks great and you should be very happy. I also agree with 'emmascakes' I love the Asian wedding cake and it has such a visual impacted, better for drawing people in. But still it is Great Cake, well done..

yes i love the asian cake too so it IS going in the show as well...lol thanks for all the comments i love to hear what my cc friends think it is always nice to hear the opinions of others who love to do the same thing as yourself.
