I am trying to make a cake topper for my daughters birthday party in 5 days and need advice. Would you do all fondant, gumpaste, or a mix of the 2? I am worried it wont be hard enough to stand on its own. Also, how thick should it be so it wont bend in half?

AThe stand up toppers that I have done have been made of all gumpaste. I have even done them as late as the night before delivery and they are dry enough to stand without bending. I usually roll it at 1/8"-1/4" without issue.
