Hi Adriane,
It's good to hear your mom is a survivor!!! My aunt also has breast cancer. She finished chemo last Tuesday and we are all so happy for her. Now it's up to God to watch over her.
Maybe you can make a big pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness. I'm not sure if there's a pan for that but I'm sure you'll get a lot more ideas from everyone on CC!!
Take Care
Daniela
That is great to hear that your mom is a survivor. I am sure that this cake would make her smile.

How about a cake like a trophy with the pink ribbon on it and "Survivor" on the nameplate? Or maybe a crown with the ribbon. Just a thought. My mom had breast cancer too and we always honored her by doing a family walk at a Susan G. Komen event. Do you partake in the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure"? You could go to the Susan G. Komen website and do a Frozen Buttercream Transfer of the logo this year?

I think I saw a cake posted somewhere on this site. It was a big sheet cake with the pink ribbon logo outlined and filled in with stars. Otherwise, you could probably do a frozen transfer.
I ordered the ribbon cookie cutter and will be making cookies covered with pink icing and sparkles. We're going to package them in cello bags and tie with pink ribbon and my girls will sell them to raise funds for breast cancer research. I'm donating the cookies to their fundraiser, so 100% of all the money they make, they can donate in memory of their "mama", my mom, who we lost to breast cancer. We got approval from the cancer foundation and they sent us pamplets and brochures and the pink ribbons that you wear, to distribute with the cookies. ![]()
Gosh PurplePetunia, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.
That cancer is such a bad thing.
Your cookie fundraiser is a wonderful idea. It brought tears to my eyes. Very nice.

Purplepetunia,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother!!! I think it's really great that you're raising funds for her honor. I'm sure you would've made her proud to have you as a daughter!!!
Thanks, Daniela. That's really nice to hear, especially since this month is the anniversary of her death.
hey my mom is a breast cancer survivor and october is national breast cancer awareness month. does anyone have any ideas or any websites for this topic?
Glad to hear the good news about your mom...God bless. As far as cake ideas go, I made a (Pink) Hat Cake from Colette Peters book Colette's Cakes for my best friend who is a breast cancer survivor. The cake was a hit! HTH
I love what you are all doing! Anyone willing to participate in combating this terrible disease is a winner in my books. My mom is a survivor however we lost my Grandmother, my great-aunt (Grandmother's sister) and most recently my aunt (Mom's sister), all to breast cancer.
Whether you are rasing money or just supporting someone who has battled or is battling this disease, may God bless you and keep you!
