Hello All
I am making a dumbbell cake which is pretty simple looking (two weights on each side and the tube connecting them)
The weights are easy but I am wondering how do I make the actual bar connecting the weights together. Is it just a plastic dowell wrapped with fondant? I am thinking this would be too thin. Any suggestions would be great.

Go to a hardware store and pick up some PVC pipe.
Zillions of sizes.
