I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole.
The taffy would alter the consistency of the fondant so much that I am fairly sure you would hate yourself if you tried. Not to mention you would get barely any flavor or color.
Just simply use food colors (AmeriGel or powdered) and flavoring (LorAnn Oils).
You'll thank me.
