AI just have a simple question.... Do you charge more for a simple fondant covered cake than you do for a buttercream covered cake?

Yes, it;'s an extra step plus extra materials.

AThat's what I was thinking. I usually charge 25% more for fondant but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong.
