Two bakeries that deliver all over MA and are what I would consider reasonable are:
Montilio's Bakery
Konditormeister
Both work with budgets, so you can do simple or very elaborate and expensive. Konditormeister did my cake and it was most excellent! If you are looking for a home baker because you think they might be less expensive, the good ones are not. The others who might offer a lower price for something "simple" are a gamble, not a bargain.
I have eaten wedding cakes and birthday cakes from Dessert Works in Westwood, MA. I even purchased my niece's wedding cake there. The dark chocolate cappuccino torte was perfect!
