The ICES Convention will be held in Albuquerque this year which is where I live. I have been reading about it online and I am thinking about registering. Has anyone attended one of these before? Any insight or advice to newcomers about the event? I am a hobby baker for family and I just continue to be amazed at the level of accomplishment cake artists perform their creations. 
save a lot of money and consider wearing a flack vest for the vendors arena--it be brutal but euphoric in there

AI almost decided not to go this year because found the airfare to be rather high from VA. Then I came to my senses and realized I would have cried my eyes out had I missed it! Can't wait!
