I have 2 questions actually: 1)What do you use to achieve the red for Lightening McQueen-does the wilton "no-taste red" work? and 2) I saw some UT Longhorn cookies on this website and was curious where the cutter came from?? I forgot where I saw them and thought this might be faster if other people might know. I saw one on a website-I think copper gifts or something. TIA!!

Here's a great place for cookie cutters-cheap, good selection, great customer service and cheap shipping:

Use Americolor Super Red for Lightning. Leaves the wilton stuff in the dust! I used the Americolor SR for my lightning cake in my pics and anything else that you see that's red! It is fantastic and you can get it right here at CC and support our addiction!

I used Wilton no taste red for the cars cake in my photos and got a great red color for the icing. I colored the icing pink first and then added the red.

Anyone know how good Americolor's "Red Red" is? CC was out of the super red so I bought the red red.

It will be red but not the same true red as the Super Red but it will work for you.

Interesting note about Americolors-don't do the color the icing pink first trick to get red. It actually works against you with Americolor. I learned the hard way! icon_wink.gif

I was so impressed the first time I used the Americolor super red. I only used a little to acheive the red I needed. With Wilton I would of used 2 jars!

When I made Lightening Mcqueen I used wilton's "no taste red" and it worked great. First I colored the icing pink then I put in the no taste red....the pic is in my photos if you need to see how red my car came out
