AHello all! I am doing a popeye cake with a spinach can and then :smile: a picture of popeye or just his face on top of the cake. My question is, what is best to use for popeye? Buttercream transfer, chocolate transfer, royal icing? I want it so it stands up a little. Thank you!!:smile:

since you need something to stand up--maybe a big sugar cookie using any of those mediums for the face or make a nice crispy fondant + cornstarch plaque--


you will need to brace it in the back so it stands up--for example use a popsicle stick and glue with melted chocolate--


or you could angle it up with just a nice blast of buttercream to rest it against--


if you did the plaque you could use edible ink markers for the face --
