What Kind Of Dye Do You Use For Red Elver Cake?

ADo you use a liquid? Or a gel paste? Or if you know off of the top of your head, what is the exact kind you use? I usually use McCormic red she but I am curious to see what y'all use.

I use Americolor gel.My recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of liquid dye so I take one teaspoon of gel and mix it in 3 tablespoons of water.
