I am trying to model a chicken out of fondant, but the fondant will not stick together. I am trying to start with a ball, and can't even get the ball to stick togethe. It is leaving seams that seperate (hope this makes sense). Do I add more sugar or more water?

I don't have any advice but hopefully this bump will help you stay on the front!

maybe try microwaving it 5-10 secs and adding crisco to your hands to make it workable.

I am no expert but it sounds like it is to dry. Try adding some crisco,

I had to nuke it for just a couple of second and the I kneaded it for a little bit then I could make a ball that wasnt all cracked up, also you can use crisco like they said and that will help you smooth cracks in the fondant.

i made some MMF for the first time and had a great time using it so i will use it again for another cake. While I was using the MMF my daughter was standing next to me and put some water on the counter mixing it with some cornstarch and it sort of made a paste. I had a small tear in the MMF and decided to try mix some of the cornstarch and water to use as a glue. It seemed to work quite well and I also used it to attach a few rosed on the top of the cake. Maybe this would work for you.
Good Luck
