AMaking my own buttercream frosting, can I freeze what I didn't use, if so how long? Thanks

Yes.  I have a freezer full of little tubs of different colors.    You can freeze for a LONG time.   I'm constantly refilling my tubs..so I've never just let it sit there.  It's in and out all the time.
