AHi, I am freezing a ice cream cake now! All ice cream.. I just coated it and sealed it with cool whip.. My question is, I need to decorate it like Elmo and I will need to use good coloring.. I know if I add food coloring to the cool whip it will flatten it.. And buttercream wouldn't taste to great.. What kind if icing would y'all recommend? I want to use the decorating bag with tip..

AWhat about candy melts? I've used them like a BC/Royal type transfer
