Glycerine Vs Glucose

Am making my own gum paste and the recipe calls for glucose (1 TBL).  
All I have on hand is glycerine and can't get to the store.  Can I use the glycerine instead?

No, they are entirely two different things and not interchangeable.

Use corn syrup - although slightly thinner in consistency, it is basically the same thing ..
