AHi everyone? I made this 5 tier cake for my brothers wedding last week. It was my first ever tiered cake-first ever wedding cake too. Any feedback poss/neg appreciated. What do you think? Thank you
AThats really pretty! What kind of flowers are those?
All in all, it looks pretty and you did a good job. The only thing I would say that's a little off is the height of the tiers. The fourth tier down looks shorts and throws the cake off a bit. Other then that is look goods. Way to go on your first tiered cake, especially it being so many tiers for the first time.
AThank you cakealicious7 they were silk blue roses. The fresh ones were too expensive in blue at £4 per rose!
Reginaherrin-ur not wrong. It was abit shorter in height. I had abit of a priblen getting all my cake tiers the same height which resulted in more time baking lots of cakes and slot of wastage...I dont know how I managed to oull it off to be honest! Do you have any tips you dont mind sharing?
For a first time I think you did a lovely job!!! :)
AAw thank you cakespirations....could you plz share any tips on how to improve?
AI think it looks nice, but the flowers on top overpower it. I think you should have used less, or smaller flowers, or used them on different parts of the cake for symmetry. Also, the ribbons could have been "tighter" against the cake.
AThank you for your advice @brandisBaked. The forth tier down was a problem from the start and I did have problems with the ribbon on that tier too. I shall keep ur advice in mind. Thank you x
