I know, right? But if hubby is funding something that's more like cake charity, then he should have say, right? I'm not down on someone having a great relationship with their spouse and wanting to do things together, but when you go to these events, you don't see a lot couples strolling the aisles together.

the vibe I got is most of the women deliver the cakes with their husbands. Like he helps with that part of the business.

That's a good point. Still, some of those comments sounded straight out of the 50's and were consistent enough to make one wonder if we weren't hearing talking points.

It's when someone has strategized out the best thing to say and everyone in cahoots with them goes out and repeats it as if it's his/her own thoughts

Well my husband has wow, so we decided that we could both spend 14.99 a month on our hobbies. So far I've been trying to spend mine on a daring bakers type thing that I do with my friend. Which usually doesn't include cakes.

I pay $15.98 a month for WoW, you may be owed a $.99 raise.

It's cheaper if you buy several months at a time, if I remember correctly it is $13/month if you buy 6 months at once.

I had 5 Alliance and 5 Horde toons on Whisperwind. I didn't have enough free time for raiding so I focused mostly on questing, instances, and PvP, and I ended up cancelling my subscription after a few months of Pandaria due to time constraints.

Yes, I'm mainly Horde - I moved my main from Shattered Hand to Vashj because I no longer play seriously. I haven't even leveled her up to 90. It's kind of sad - she's outgrown her hard earned PvP gear and now is just wearing stuff you get from questing. If I still cared, I be embarrassed to walk into Orgrimmar - lol.  How about you? Or is it just your husband who plays?

Oh, that may be the difference.

And another one more comes out of the crevices!  :D I haven't logged for a couple months, but it's a comfort to know I can. But I should just put my account on hold.

I agree. The implication (at least the way I read it) was that because the husband liked it then it really must be a good product, almost as if the woman's appraisal wasn't valid enough on its own. That's what I found bizarre about it. Maybe I'm reading too much into it and it wasn't meant that way at all. I have been known to be a miserable old bag at times ;)

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with a husband and wife sharing an interest/ business and making spending decisions together. In fact I'd like it if my husband were interested in cake, he doesn't even eat cake. I would certainly be a couple of dress sizes smaller if I had him to test my new recipes on :)

AI don't play, but my hubs is mostly alliance. I sit and watch sometimes and we talk to his guild and he exlplains to me about stuff going on. I find the later it gets the goofier things people say :p.

Probably time to sell it, but I just can't bring myself to do it. It's like admitting failure to me...

I like to trot out the 'I'll have to ask my husband' line any time I'm trying to dodge a slimy salesperson, although my old Mexican neighbor used to just claim she was the nanny anytime someone came to the door or called to sell her something which I thought was genius!

I do have to confess that I get his OK when I spend a big amount on something that's non-essential, cake toys falling into that category. It's not that I have to ask, but since I stopped earning any money of my own I feel bad just spending it. I haven't done any real baking since we moved 3 months ago, my apartment is tiny so I couldn't even unpack most of my stuff.

AWe talk about any purchase over 50 $. I imagine if we made more money maybe that number would be bigger. But right now 50 $ &^ is the big leagues lol.
