AHi everyone!! Long time reader, first time poster!!!
I am doing my FIRST ever cake order...its a small ladybug smashcake and customer wants buttercream. I nailed the red part (tinted pink and used red-no taste) I have a very nice ladybuggish red. My question is...how far in advance can I make the BC (all butter recipe). The cake is for a party sunday morning but I plan on frosting and decorating the cake Saturday night. Can I make today (Thursday)? Can I refrigerate till Sunday and still taste fresh? Thanks so much!!! I appreciate any feedback. This cake means so much to me lol :)
Ayes your buttercream will be fine if refrigerated in a container...there are several recipes that will sit out shelf stable for weeks at room temperature...you are good to go :D
