2 Questions About Serving Sizes And Transporting Tiered Cakes!

I have a $700 chop saw from when I did woodworking. Sad that it will now only be used to cut plastic

Although I generally use our van for deliveries, we have had success in car by pulling the passenger seat all the way forward and using the floor space behind there instead of the front floor space. You might have to "fold down" the front seat to put it down straight (and remove) but you could try it with the empty box you're going to transport in to see if it works for you. Also have used towels on back seat to "level", place a piece of plywood & leveled, piece of shelf liner and then cake-I can just get a boxed 2 tiered in the door. Good luck!

I have put towels on the seat to keep it even but not with a tiers cake. If I did that I woud have hubby sit back there with a hand on the box.
AI've put folded towels down too to make the seats level for single layer cakes, but this 3 tiered cake scares me! If the sps holds it together as everyone says, then I think it'll be fine. I'll get a piece of plywood like y'all are saying to keep it level and either have someone hold it or keep it on the backseat with somine holding the box.
oh and my back seats do fold down, but not flat. Just to access the trunk
Even in small cars, there is often plenty of room to set a two or three tier cake on the passenger side floorboard. I do it all the time. Just put a clean sheet down so it won't be sitting directly on the floor. Push the seat all the way back.

Just wanted to post an update that I successfully delivered the cake 2 hours away in a car all stacked together using the SPS system. I put carpet tape in between the cake plates and cake board that the cake was sitting on and it didn't budge. I also had it sitting in a large box with non-slip pads underneath a piece of plywood, then another piece of non-slip pad, and then the cake board. I had it in a car big enough where it could sit on the floor in the back with the passenger seat pull all the way up, but I'm sure it would have been ok sitting on the seat leveled out. I attached a picture of the finished cake
