How Much Time In Advance To Apply Rolled Fondant

I have only used the fondant for decorations mainly because I have no idea just how far in advance I can apply the fondant.  I was wondering  and afraid it would become to hard. Do you have any advise for me?

You can put it on days in advance, just cover it well in a sealed box in your refrigerator.
