Help-Broken Cake

Does anyone have any ideas on how to mend a broken cake?  I made a butterfly cake, using a Wilton bake pan.  Long story, short, when I was lifting the cake to freeze, part of the cake broke in half...I need to ice it yet.  Is there anyway to salvage it?...The power went out in my house after a huge storm, and I don't have any time to bake another cake?...I will be using a star tip to cover the butterfly cake with buttercream different colors, so, maybe the crack won't show????

Please help.  Any suggestions are welcome...am I the only loser this happens to?  UGH!!!

Get the cake onto its board and pipe some buttercream into the crack.  Push the 2 sections together and let it set up for a bit.  Crumb coat the cake and then pipe on the stars.  It should be fine.

AYes! Pipe some frosting into the crack & piece it together. No worries; it will be fine.

AYes joyfull.it happened to me not so long ago, i made a three tier wedding cake, 12inch fruit cake, i picked it up and it just broke in half. not happy as it was too expensive ro replace.
