hi all I'm after some advice, as my kitchen doesn't quite match the environment officers requirements, ie two sinks etc my folks have said I can use their kitchen so I can bake and sell cakes ( on a relatively small scale) but I have to find out if doing so means I would have to register their kitchen as a business premises and whether it would affect the tax they would have to pay when selling their house. I would not be having customers come to their house - I don't know if that effects it - anyway - I don't know where to start or how to find out this information - can anyone help?

AStart with your health department? They usually can direct you to your next step in the process of setting up your business. My next step was my city planning department.
