Help!!!! Lucks Edible Images Are Ripping!
Decorating By ericapraga Updated 26 Jun 2013 , 10:29pm by auntginn
I am using Lucks edible images (the designer prints) for the side of my cake for the first time and it is not working!
I have tried freezing the images (in and out of a ziplock) for 30 seconds to 1.5 hours.
I have tried holding the image near hot and boiling water to try to soften it.
I have tried to soften it and then place it in the freezer.
I have rubbed it over a curved edge table and a sharp edge table.
I have tried lifting it up with a knife and a spatula.
I have tried all of these things in different orders and together.
So far nothing has worked!
I am using the 3" tall zebra print. Also, the images did not come in a silver bag, they were in a ziplock type bag, bought from Global Sugar Art.
PLEASE HELP! SUGGESTIONS!!!!
This cake is due at 8pm on Friday!!!!
in my opinion, the problem was when you steamed the sheet. In my experience the frosting sheets need to be exposed to dry heat.
Try using a hair blower on low settings. See if by blowing it dry it hardens enough to remove the backing.
Sorry your having such a hard time.
YES!!!!!!
The hair dryer did it! Oh thank you so much!!!! I was about to trash all of them and go get some black frosting sheets and just cut stripes!
Thanks!!!!!
