Okay so i bought this cake pop silicone mould.... so i baked red velvets in it and the cake pops didnt want to come out round... so i put more baking powder when i did that it came out round but it cracked... what do i do?????????????
I don't use cake pop molds to make cake pops, so I can't help you there. I think the best cake pops are made by crumbling up cake, mix some icing in and rolling.
I have both the silicone molds and metal cake pop molds. The silicone mold is not good at all. As the cake bakes and rises, the silicone mold stretches/moves and you end up with cake balls that are oval, have lots of air pockets and crack. The metal molds are so much better. They keep the pops perfectly round and compact. See my blog post about it: http://sugarsweetcakesandtreats.blogspot.com/2012/06/lalaloopsy-cake-cake-pops.html
